Kheder Khaddour is a nonresident scholar at the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut. His research focuses on issues of identity and society in Syria.

Khaddour has been a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago, has conducted independent research for the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, and has worked as an independent journalist for Reuters.

Khaddour has authored and co-authored articles for a number of publications, including the Middle East Research and Information Project.
