Nazir Hakim is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood alliance in the Syrian National Council.

He is seen as an influential Islamist within the Syrian National Council, along with Ahmad Ramadan and Mohammad Farouk Tayfour. He participates in its Executive Committee even though he has not yet been confirmed as a committee member by the council’s General Secretariat.

Hakim was born in Aleppo in 1950. He studied microelectronics and is a university professor. He is the president of the European Institute for Humanity Studies in Paris, the general manager of Al-Kindi private school in Paris, the technical manager of ST Fine Electronics Company, and the current vice-president of the Union of Islamic Organizations of France.
