In collaboration with the Stabilisation Unit of UKAID, the UK Ministry of Defense, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Carnegie Middle East Center hosted a workshop in Beirut to present and discuss the findings of an assessment of the Syrian Crisis on regional stability with a specific focus on Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey. The workshop explored the main findings with regards to refugees, sectarianism, extremism, security, and border management. The workshop was also dedicated to exploring opportunities for the international community to reduce instability caused by these issues and to highlight other areas of concern.
